Football season is officially kicking off with some preseason action! The Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles are facing off this Thursday at Lincoln Financial Field. We're here to break down the game from a betting perspective and give you our best picks for the matchup.
The Bengals Team Preview!

After a couple of seasons finishing at 9-8 and missing the playoffs, the Cincinnati Bengals are hoping to turn things around in 2025. Last year was a bit of a rollercoaster, with the team starting a disappointing 4-8 before rallying to win their final five games. While the defense struggled at times, giving up 30+ points in six games, the offense was on fire, finishing the season with the best passing attack in the league. Looking to improve their defense, the Bengals used their first two draft picks on a defensive end and a linebacker, hoping these additions will help them get over the hump and into the double-digit win column this season.

The Eagles Team Preview!

The Cincinnati Bengals had a bit of a rollercoaster season, finishing with a 9-8 record for the second year in a row and just missing the playoffs again. They started out rough with a 4-8 record, their worst in a few years, and their defense struggled, giving up a lot of points. But they turned things around in a big way at the end of the season, winning their last five games thanks to their amazing passing offense. Now, with some new defensive players from the draft, like Shemar Stewart and Demetrius Knight, fans are feeling optimistic that the Bengals can get back to winning ways and maybe even get over ten wins in 2025.

The Eagles Vs Bengals
Game Prediction!

The Pick: Bengals -2.5 -130
Even though it’s just the first preseason game, I’m feeling good about the Bengals. With their over/under win total sitting around 9.5, they're right in the mix for a playoff spot. If the defense can step up and match the explosive offense, they have a real shot at being a tough team to beat this year. The Eagles, on the other hand, will be a contender again after winning the Super Bowl last year, but their new coordinators and defensive roster battles could make for an interesting start to the season.
