These two conference rivals had their series altered by alignment, and Iowa holds a small head-to-head lead of, 24-22-2, after winning the most recent matchup awhile back in 2020, 49-7. Michigan State comes in at 2-2 after losing to Maryland in East Lansing. The Spartans were Killed in their conference opener by the Terps, and they’ll now travel for the first time this season against the Hawkeyes. The MSU offense is scoring 23 ppg, while passing for 266 ypg, rushing for 111 ypg, and converting 41.2% of their third downs. Do we really think that the Spartans come in here and bring some heat to Iowa!?

Iowa enters at 3-1 after falling to Penn State on the road, 31-0. The Hawkeyes fell victim to the White Out in Happy Valley, and after being silenced by the Nittany Lions, they’ll seek different results this weekend at home. The Iowa offense is scoring 21 ppg, while passing for 127 ypg, rushing for 118 ypg, and converting 36% of their third downs. Can The HawkEyes hold it down and continue to show teams who they are!?

Michigan State is in for a long year after making that head coaching change, so let’s just trust the defensive plans on the Iowa sidelines for this Big Ten battle.
