Game Preview

The Kansas City Royals will take on the Detroit Tigers in Game 2 of their series tonight at Comerica Park in Detroit. Detroit won the first game in this series by a score of 6-3 yesterday and the Royals want some revenge, but do they have what it takes to beat the Tigers in there own house!? I have the Answer to that question in todays pick!

Tigers Preview

  • The Detroit Tigers are 74-83 this season, not very impressive. But I have to say that recently they have shown some fight. They have won four of their last six games. Detroit came into this series after splitting a four game series with the Athletics in Oakland. The Tigers have allowed three runs or fewer in five of their last seven games and I think with the projected starting pitcher being Tarik Skubal, who is 7-3 with a 2.95 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP over 76 innings this season, I think the Tigers have a good chance at keeping the Royals to minimal runs tonight!

Royals Preview

  • The Kansas City Royals are 54-103 this season and they have won six of their last seven games. Prior to losing the first game in this series, Kansas City won three games on the road in Houston and three games at home against Cleveland. The Royals have scored 6+ runs in five of their last seven games, but don't expect that much offense from them tonight. Tonights pitcher for Kansas City is Jonathan Bowlan, who is making his first MLB appearance and he should consider himself lucky that it's only a Tigers Lineup he faces here but they are still dangerous and can easily get to him tonight!

Plugs Game Prediction

💎 Tigers -1.5 +100 ( 1u )

💎 TORKELSON RBI +125 ( .5U )

  • The Royals had their winning streak snapped on Tuesday night, but they have played very well over the last two weeks. Detroit has also played well down the stretch and they have passed Cleveland for second in the AL Central. The Tigers are starting Tarik Skubal, who has allowed one earned run in his last 19 innings of work. The Royals are starting Jonathan Bowlan, who is making his debut. Skubal has been great for Detroit over his last five starts and I like the Tigers to win this game by at least two runs. -

  • Spencer Torkelson has hit at least one home run in three of the Tigers' last four Wednesday games at Comerica Park.
