It's one of the intriguing rivalries on tour that has tilted in Fritz's favor in the past year. The American underlined his dominance with four wins from five against Zverev in the 2024 season. But Zverev can wipe the slate clean here. It's a different season against an inconsistent Fritz, who has been dealing with debilitating injury setbacks all year. Zverev's serve can go on walkabout, and that usually spells doom for him, but there has not been any indication of such lapses this week, and he's coming off a massive win over Ben Shelton, where he did not face a breakpoint.
