Elks vs Alouettes Top Trend
The Under is 3-0-1 in Montreal's last four games while cashing in Edmonton's previous three contests.
The Elks a team preview!

In their last game, the Elks lost a close one to the Tiger-Cats, with a final score of 28-24. Quarterback Cody Fajardo had a solid day, throwing for 257 yards and a touchdown, though he did have one interception. Running back Justin Rankin was the star of the show, leading the team in both rushing and receiving yards, with 69 yards on the ground and 64 yards through the air, including a rushing touchdown. So far this season, the Elks' offense has been struggling, ranking near the bottom of the league in points and total yards per game. Unfortunately, their defense hasn't fared much better, also ranking among the worst in the league for points and yards allowed per game.
Elks Injuries: Devodric Bynum DB (Out), Royce Metchie S (Doubtful).
The Alouettes Team Preview!

In their last game, the Alouettes were handily defeated by the Roughriders with a final score of 34-6. The offense struggled to get much going, with quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson throwing for just 126 yards and no touchdowns. Running back Travis Theis was the team's leading rusher with only 20 yards, while wide receiver Tyler Snead was a bright spot, hauling in 88 yards. While the Alouettes offense has been middle-of-the-pack this season, ranking 6th in the league in points and total yards, their defense has been a major strength. The defense currently ranks 3rd in the CFL for both points and yards allowed per game, making them one of the better defensive units in the league.
Alouettes Injuries: Davis Alexander QB (Out), Austin Mack WR (Out), Tyson Philpot WR (Out), Justin Lawrence C (Out), Kabion Ento DB (Out), Dionte Ruffin DB (Out), Marc-Antoine Dequoy S (Out), Mustafa Johnson DT (Out), James Letcher Jr. WR/KR (Out).

The Elks Vs. Alouettes
Game Prediction!

The Pick: The Elks +4.5 -115
Despite the Edmonton Elks rough start to the season with a 1-6 record, things are looking up for them. With quarterback Cody Fajardo now at the helm, the team has been much more competitive. This game is especially personal for Fajardo, who's going against his former team, the Montreal Alouettes, and the QB he was traded for, McLeod Bethel-Thompson. Bethel-Thompson has been struggling this year, and the Alouettes are dealing with a bunch of injuries to key players on both offense and defense.
Given the Alouettes recent struggles and the Elks' improved play with Fajardo, it feels like the Elks +4 is a solid bet. They're getting a ton of points and are playing with a newfound energy.
