The Dallas Mavericks Team Preview
This Dallas team has really lit the league on fire in the postseason and they have looked like a team destined to win it all this year. Personally I'm much more excited to have the Mavericks here over the Nuggets, this will now actually be a entertaining series for us to watch.
The Dallas Mavericks have had a tough path to the NBA Finals as they had to take down the Clippers, the Thunder Buddies and the Timberwolves despite not having home-court advantage in any of those series. They have truly fought their way here.
The fact that the Mavs open up the NBA Finals as road underdogs is nothing new to them — they’ve been in this situation quite a few times this season. They are one of the more reliable road teams when betting against the spread with a 34-16 record, and in the Western Conference Finals they covered in all but one of the games played. However, this will be a completely different challenge as Boston is unlike any other team they’ve faced so far this postseason.
Luka Doncic has been absolutely amazing in the playoffs, as he has been averaging 28.8 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. Kyrie Irving is averaging 22.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, PJ Washington is averaging 13.6 points per game while Derrick Jones Jr is averaging 9.8 points and 1.8 blocks per game. As a team, the Mavericks are scoring 107.9 points per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from the 3-point line.
I truly believe in the Mavs, they have shown the most improvement on the defensive end of the ball, where they were ranked just 18th during the regular season and now could easily be a top 10 defense in the league and i think that's key to winning this series. Can they get game one?
Dallas Mavericks Player Facts
P.J. Washington is one of only three players to have scored 40+ points off the bench in a game this season.
Kyrie Irving ranks 7th amongst qualified players for FT% (90.5%) this season.

The Boston Celtics Game Preview
There is no doubt about it, The Boston Celtics has everything a team needs to be a Championship team for many years to come! they play amazing defense, have great offense, so much talent spread throughout this team and they have the star power that steps up in them big moments.
If you look at The Boston Celtics schedule and compare it to the Mavericks and its easy to tell that Boston had a much easier road to the NBA Finals. Boston took down the Heat and the Cavaliers in five games each. Before they swept the shorthanded Pacers to return to the big dance once again.
Jayson Tatum led the team with averages of 26.0 points, 10.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. Jaylen Brown added 25.0 points with 6.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, Derrick White is averaging 17.8 points with 4.6 assists per game while Jrue Holiday is averaging 12.7 points and 4.6 assists per game.
As a team, the Celtics are scoring 111.4 points per game while shooting 48.0 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from the 3-point line. The Celtics main strength is on the defensive end as they rank third in the league, the postseason for defensive rating. Can the Celtics over come the Hungry Mavs team and make a statement to open this series?
Boston Celtics Player Facts
Jrue Holiday ranks 2nd in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for 3P% (42.9%) this season.
Derrick White is one of only four qualified players in the league averaging at least 1.0 threes, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks this season.
Dallas Mavericks vs Boston Celtics Prediction
The Pick: Dallas Mavericks +6.5
The Prop: Jaylen Brown Over 2.5 assist -110
The Mavericks are still a little shorthanded with Maxi Kleber still ruled out, while the Timberwolves are keeping an eye on Mike Conley, who is questionable for this one. The Mavericks will be ecstatic that they were able to get the job done on Wednesday, as they did a great job of staying within striking distance the entire match despite a slow start to the game. Having said that, the Timberwolves will feel that they should've won Game 1 and I can't imagine Edwards struggling for the second straight home game with what is at stake. I think the Timberwolves bounce back and square up the series with a much-needed win, but I'm not ruling out the Mavericks in this one, so I'm taking the points in what should be another close contest.
Jaylen Brown prop honestly is a great play today and at a great price as well. Brown has hit 4+ Assist in the Celtics last three home games against the Mavericks and in a game like this I expect these stars to be stars and Brown to do what he needs to do where ever he is needed.
