This is my Cinderella for the tournament and I made that very public and obviously I'm rooting for these boys to go all the way but today will be a huge obstacle! This Grand Canyon team has what it takes and they fight! The Antelopes come into this one looking to build on their 75-66 win over Saint Mary’s in the first round. Tyon Grant-Foster leads the Lopes in scoring with 19.4 PPG along with 5.9 RPG while Ray Harrison has 13.4 PPG with 2.9 RPG and a team-high 3.9 APG to lead Grand Canyon in assists. Gabe McGlothan has 13.5 PPG with a team-high 7.3 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Grand Canyon, leading the Lopes on the glass this season. Mark Sears leads the Tide in scoring with 21.1 PPG and 4.1 APG along with 4 RPG and Aaron Estrada has 13.4 PPG with 5.3 RPG and a team-high 4.5 APG as well on the year. Grant Nelson has 12 PPG with a team-high 5.7 RPG to lead the Tide on the glass and Rylan Griffen has 11.1 PPG with 3.7 RPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Alabama up to this point in the year. I think it’s really telling that Alabama won by 13 despite leading by as many as 34 in the game against Charleston as defense continues to be an issue for the Crimson Tide. Grand Canyon has all of the tools to make life difficult for Alabama and I think at worst the Lopes keep this one close if not give themselves a shot to win it outright. Give me Grand Canyon here and let's look for the upset!
