The Heat Team Preview!

Man, it's been a bit of a bumpy ride for the Miami Heat lately. They kind of limped into the postseason, dropping four of their last six games and ending up with a 37-45 record – definitely not the kind of finish Heat fans were hoping for. Even with Tyler Herro putting up some solid numbers – averaging nearly 24 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists – it just felt like a rocky season overall. Bam Adebayo was his usual steady self with around 18 points and almost 10 rebounds a night, and even new addition Andrew Wiggins chipped in with close to 18 points per game, while Duncan Robinson added 11. As a team, they were putting up about 110 points a game and shooting decently, but it just felt like things never really clicked, especially after Jimmy Butler was gone. Definitely a season to forget for a franchise with such high standards.
The Bulls Team Preview!

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been one of the surprise teams in the league as they caught fire late and won 15 of their last 20 games to finish with a 39-43 overall record. The Bulls played their first half of the season with Zach LaVine in the lineup, but in his absence, there have been other players stepping up. Coby White led the team with averages of 20.4 points and 4.5 assists per game, Nikola Vucevic averaged 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while Josh Giddey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. As a team, the Bulls are scoring 117.8 points per game while shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from the 3-point line.

THE PICK: CHICAGO BULLS
So, while the Heat might be a little banged up with Love, Larsson, and Jovic potentially on the sidelines, the Bulls have their own injury woes with Ball and Jones still out. For Miami, a postseason push could definitely turn the page on what's been a bit of a letdown of a regular season. However, the Bulls have had their number this year, winning all three of their matchups. Sure, each game has been a nail-biter, decided by just a few points, but Chicago's got the momentum on their side heading into this one, especially playing at home. For my money, the Bulls look like great value on that short line. I'm leaning towards a close victory for Chicago, and I think they'll cover at home, fueled by big performances from Giddey and White.
