I was not to big on The Marquette Golden Eagles this season but they have proven me wrong on many occasions! This Marquette team sit with a 27-9 (14-6) record this year after they just beat Colorado by a score of 81-77 in their last game. Marquette led 45-34 at halftime, but they were out scored 43-36 in the second half in that win. We also seen Marquette beat Western Kentucky by a score of 87-69 in the first round and they have now won five of their last six games. The Golden Eagles are averaging 79 points per game and they are giving up 70 points against per game this season. Kam Jones is averaging 17.1 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, and 2.5 assists per game. Marquette is shooting 47.8% from the field, 71.5% on free throws, and 35.8% on three pointers this year. Can Marquette continue their dominance and move on to the Elite Eight or fold when it's needed most!

Let's do a different approach on this game tonight because this number leaves the back door wide open for NC State and I'm not completely convinced Marquette or NC St can cover this number but I'm pretty sure Marquette wins this one! NC State comes into this game as an 11 seed and I know they have played great basketball over the last two weeks. The Wolfpack went on a huge run in the ACC Tournament to win the Championship and then they knocked off Texas Tech and Oakland during the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Then we have Marquette, who is the two seed in the region and they were able to get wins over Western Kentucky and Colorado last weekend. The Golden Eagles allowed Colorado to hang around in that game and nearly ended up losing after having a double digit halftime lead. This should be a very fun game to watch and I am interested to see if NC State can continue their run, but Marquette has looked great on the offensive end of the court and should grab the win here. Both teams have the ability to be pretty high scoring offensives and I could see each team hitting the 75-80 point range, so give me the over in this game as well to build our Same Game Parlay for this Sweet 16 battle!
