Phoenix Mercury - Connecticut Sun Game Trends
The Sun are 4-7 ATS this season
The Sun are averaging 71.3 points per game this season
The Mercury are 7-5 ATS this season
The Mercury are averaging 79.6 points per game this season
The Phoenix Mercury continues to rise!

The Phoenix Mercury are hitting the road to Connecticut, hoping to snag their third win in a row and boost their season record to a solid 9-4. They're feeling good after a 76-70 road win against Las Vegas, where Satou Sabally nearly had a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds, and Alyssa Thomas definitely got one with 14 points and 13 assists. Sami Whitcomb was a spark off the bench with 18 points, including four three-pointers, and the team's defense was on point, forcing 22 turnovers! While their offense is pretty middle-of-the-pack (ninth in scoring), their defense is strong, ranking fourth in points allowed. They're looking to keep that momentum going!
Key Injuries: C Kalani Brown is a game-time decision, and Megan McConnell is out.
Will The Sun Continue to Keep Sinking?

It's been a really tough season for the Sun as they're deep into a major rebuilding process, having completely changed their starting lineup from last year. That adjustment hasn't gone smoothly at all, and they've dropped two straight games and a disappointing eight of their first ten outings overall. Just this past Sunday, they fell to the visiting Chicago Sky, 87-66, even with Marina Mabrey putting up 22 points. They just couldn't find their rhythm, shooting a dismal 39% from the field and getting outrebounded by six. This puts them on a two-game skid and they've lost three of their last four games.
Offensively, the Sun are really struggling, ranking dead last in field goal shooting and 12th in both points per game and three-point shooting. Their defense isn't much better, as they're 12th in points allowed per game, 11th in field goal defense, and 13th in three-point defense. All told, they're at the bottom of the league in both scoring margin and rebounding margin. It's definitely a challenging period for the Sun, and they're hoping to turn things around soon.
Key Injuries: C Rayah Marshall and G Leila Lacan are out.
The Mercury vs Sun Game Prediction!
So, this is the first time these two teams are facing off this season, and honestly, the Mercury are the clear favorites here. They're definitely in a good spot to dominate the Sun, especially since Connecticut's defense took a huge hit after they traded away all their starters last season. The Sun are currently ranked 12th in points allowed per game and 13th in scoring margin, which isn't great. Plus, they can't even make up for it on offense, as they're dead last in the WNBA for scoring. To make things even tougher for them, they'll be playing on the second night of a back-to-back after their game against Indiana on Tuesday. So yeah, I'd definitely go with Phoenix on this one.
