In a game that didn’t see much scoring in the first quarter, the Las Vegas Aces initially appeared dominant, as they were able to establish a lead that stretched to 12 points in the second half.
Down 12 didn’t seem to faze the Dream at all as Atlanta mounted an impressive comeback in the third quarter, ultimately securing a 78-74 victory. The Dream's ability to overturn the huge deficit and maintain their lead in the final quarter was crucial to their win.
The Dream’s Allisha Gray was instrumental, leading her team with 24 points, 4 Rebs, 3 assists and she was 6/7 from 3 point range. Crystal Dangerfield was a spark off the bench playing 7 mins and making the most of them going 3-3 from the field with 7 points and 1 rebound.
On the other side, A’ja Wilson had a standout performance for the Aces, scoring 28 points, 9 rebounds, but ultimately ending her streak of 20/10 games at 5. Kelsey Plum chipped in with 19 points, 6 assists, but had a rough night going 3/12 front 3 point land.

The Las Vegas Aces are obviously still trying to find their way on the offense and defensive side of the ball as they continue to play without their superstar point guard Chelsea Gray. It’s obvious that even though Jackie Young has been stepping up at the Point Guard position, she’s no “Point God”. Now let’s not forget, Young leads the league in assists per game, which is huge, but it still becomes challenging when you do not have your floor general there to control everything as the game goes on.
Next up for the Las Vegas Aces, another road game as they head to Dallas, to take on the Wings in a Commissioners Cup matchup, on Wednesday night. 5pm Tip-Off live on NBATV.
