  • We have seen the good and the bad from this Sabres team this year! The Sabers currently are 32-31-5 this year after they lost to Detroit by a score of 4-1 in their last game. Buffalo led 1-0 after the first period, but they allowed the last four goals in the game in the loss. The Sabres recorded 26 shots on goal and went 1-2 on the power play in the game. Buffalo had won their previous three games against the Islanders, Red Wings, and Oilers. The Sabres are scoring 2.93 goals per game and they are allowing 2.96 goals against per game, while going 17.1% on the power play and 79.1% on the penalty kill. Rasmus Dahlin has led Buffalo with 15 goals, 35 assists, and 194 shots on goal. The projected starting goalie for Buffalo is Devon Levi, who is 9-7-2 this year with a 3.30 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage. These boys still have hopes for a postseason but it's bleak if they can't start to put something together quick!

Seattle tied the game at one early in the third period, but they allowed the last three goals in the game for the loss. • This looks like a great spot to back a Seattle team who are coming into this game on a four game losing streak and really needing a win! There is only one place for a team to “get right” and that is at home! I know they haven't scored more then one goal in three of their last 4 losses but this Sabers team can't stop a beach ball. Buffalo has won three of their last four games, but they did lose to a Detroit team that has been awful over the last few weeks in their last game. The Sabres are 15-14-4 on the road, and they are 0-3 in their last three road games. Buffalo is an interesting team because they have been playing better in recent games, but they have scored two goals or fewer in four of their last seven games. I think this is a good spot for Seattle to lock in on defense, and get a win at home in a low-scoring battle tonight!
