I'm actually still surprised to see how far they have come in this tournament and how much they have grown as a team! The Volunteers are coming in this game sitting at 27-8 (14-4) this season after they just beat Creighton 82-75 in their last game. Tennessee trailed 35-34 at halftime, but they scored 48 points in the second half to grab the win. We have also seen Tennessee beat Texas by a score of 62-58 and St. Peter’s by a score of 83-49 in their first two games. The Volunteers are scoring 79 points per game and only allowing 67 points against per game this year. Dalton Knecht is averaging 21.2 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game, and 1.8 assists per game. Tennessee is shooting 44.4% from the field, 74.9% on free throws, and 34.2% on three-pointers this season. This team can't be underestimated or slept on because they are good enough to run with any team that is left in this tournament! My big question is, how bad do they want it?

We have seen nothing but greatness from this Purdue team this year and they actually look like they are serious and on a mission to win the championship this year! Now is their last shot to make it happen because the heart and soul of this program leave after this season! Yes, I am talking about Zach Edey! He has been the face of college hoops for the last 3 years and has left his mark in the NCAA history books! This Purdue team has grown a lot over the last couple of years and looks better than they ever have! The Boilermakers are 32-4 (17-3) this year after they just beat up on Gonzaga, winning that game by a score of 80-68 in their last game. Purdue led 40-36 at halftime and they were able to pull away in the second half for the win. The Boilermakers shot 57.1% from the field and were +7 in rebounding margin in the game. Purdue defeated Utah State by a score of 106-67 and Grambling by a score of 78-50 in their first two games. The Boilermakers are scoring 83.8 points per game with 40.6 rebounds per game and 19 assists per game, while giving up 69.4 points against per game this season. This is a tough bet to make here, I know fading Purdue might not be the most comfortable thing to do with how they been playing. I just really like what I have seen from this Tennessee team and how their playing coming into this game. Think we can hit this game with a quick drive by and get in and out here! We literally just seen this team beat Creighton without Santiago Vescovi, who is a important player for this team, who plays a lot of minutes for them! It's definitely a big question and will be interesting to see if he is able to play in this game or not. The Volunteers play very solid defense, but they will have to figure out how to slow down Edey inside the paint or this will be a much bigger challenge then it already is. I think Tennessee locks Edey down in the beginning of the game but we know Purdue and Edey make adjustments extremely well.
