The Detroit Lions Preseason
Team Preview!

The Lions had a tough preseason game, losing to the Chargers 34-7. Their offense struggled, producing less than 200 yards and turning the ball over five times. The team's quarterbacks, Kyle Allen and Hendon Hooker, combined for three interceptions. Despite the struggles, running back Craig Reynolds was a bright spot, scoring the team's only touchdown and gaining 38 rushing yards. On defense, Ezekiel Turner led the team with seven tackles. The loss puts the Lions at a 5-5 record over their last ten preseason games.
The Atlanta Falcons Preseason Team Preview!

The Atlanta Falcons are aiming to break their playoff drought, which has lasted since 2017. Raheem Morris is back for his third year as head coach, hoping to improve his overall record. The offense looks promising with a core of young, talented players like quarterback Michael Penix Jr., running back Bijan Robinson, and wide receiver Drake London. The offensive line is also considered one of the league's best.
However, the defense was a major weakness last season, leading to a new defensive coordinator, Jeff Ulbrich. The team is hoping that some key draft picks and the leadership of safety Jessie Bates III will help them improve on that side of the ball and push for double-digit wins this season.
The Lions Vs. Falcons Preseason Game Preview!

The Pick: Falcons +3.5
While the Lions might have a game under their belt, their performance in Canton was a little messy, to say the least. They were sloppy on both sides of the ball and that's not a great look, especially when they're favored by more than a field goal. As I see it, the Falcons' quarterback situation gives them the edge here.
Even though Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix Jr. are sitting this one out, Easton Stick and Emory Jones are talented guys who can make plays. On the other side, the Lions' backup QB's were just plain bad in their first game. Plus, I'm just not a fan of betting on a preseason team to win by more than three points. That extra half-point could be huge. Give me the Falcons to cover at home.
