The Minnesota Lynx are prowling & stacking wins!

The Lynx are off to a perfect start, winning all five of their games, including two on the road! They just beat Seattle at home, 82-77, with Courtney Williams dropping 23 points and Napheesa Collier grabbing a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Plus, Kayla McBride is back, adding 15 points and three assists in her return! This year, the Lynx are looking to be a top offensive force, ranking second in the league in scoring, field goal percentage, and fourth in three-point shooting. They're still strong defensively too, ranking fourth in scoring defense and fifth in field goal defense. It seems like they're determined to go all the way after coming so close last season!
And great news: no injuries to report for the Lynx.
The Mercury continue to rise to the challenge, but can they tonight?

The Phoenix Mercury are looking good with a 4-1 start, especially at home where they're undefeated! They just pulled off a great comeback win against Chicago, thanks to strong performances from Satou Sabally, rookie Kitija Laksa, and an incredible all-around game from Alyssa Thomas, who's actually making WNBA history with her consistent stat lines. While their offense is still finding its rhythm, their defense is super tough, leading the league in points allowed. They're hoping to keep their home streak alive against the red-hot Lynx?
And Some bad news: Monique Akoa Makani, Alyssa Thomas, and Murjanatu Musa, who are all game-time decisions. Plus, Natasha Mack and Kahleah Copper are definitely out, with Copper recovering from knee surgery.

THE PICK : Minnesota Lynx -5
Okay, so the Mercury have definitely thrown some surprises our way this season, winning games even with some key players gone and Kahleah Copper sidelined. But honestly, this Lynx team is just on another level right now. They're clicking on all cylinders, ranking second in the league in both scoring and scoring margin, and they can hurt you from anywhere on the court – whether it's draining threes (they're fourth in 3-point shooting) or attacking inside (second in field goal shooting). The Mercury, on the other hand, are struggling a bit offensively, sitting eighth in scoring and field goal percentage. Plus, with several key players listed as game-time decisions, they're walking into this one a bit banged up. It feels like this is just too big of a challenge for Phoenix to overcome. Expect Minnesota to keep their perfect record intact on Friday night! That's why we're taking Minnesota -5.5.
