We have seen This Xavier team look shaky down the stretch to end their season, the Musketeers sit at 16-17 overall and 9-11 in conference this year after they lost to UConn by a score of 87-60 in the Big East Tournament. Xavier finished the regular season by losing three of their last four games, with the lone win over Butler. The Musketeers have also lost seven of their last 10. Xavier does have decent wins over Villanova, St. John’s, Butler, Seton Hall, and St. Mary’s. The Musketeers are scoring 76 points per game with 38.1 rebounds per game and 16.2 assists per game, while giving up 75 points per game this season. Quincy Olivari is averaging 19.4 points per game, 5.6 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game. Xavier is shooting 43.5% from the field, 74.4% on free throws, and 34% on three pointers this year. The Georgia Bulldogs ended their season pretty solid and was really picking up traction in my opinion. The Bulldogs are 17-16 overall and 6-12 in conference this season after they lost to Florida in the SEC Tournament by a score of 85-80. Georgia finished the regular season by alternating wins and losses over their last five games, but they did lose 11 of their last 14 and finished tied for 11th in the SEC. Georgia does have nice wins against Ole Miss, LSU, South Carolina, Wake Forest, and Florida State. The Bulldogs are scoring 75 points per game with 35.6 rebounds per game and 11.7 assists per game, while allowing 75 points per game this year. Noah Thomasson is averaging 12.8 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game, and 1.6 assists per game. Georgia is shooting 42.9% from the field, 72.3% on free throws, and 33.6% on three-pointers this season! This could be a dangerous team in the NIT and should not be ashamed to be in this NIT tournament this year!

Let me start by saying that this is going to be a great game! Both of these teams were right around the .500 mark at the end of the regular season and I love the fact that they get to battle it out in the First Round of the NIT. Xavier had a pretty solid conference season against some very tough opponents and they were able to rack up a few quality wins. Georgia started the season with a 12-3 record, so we know these boys have the ability to ball. I know Georgia fell apart very quickly in conference play but don't mistake this team for a easy fade here. The Bulldogs have the home court advantage, where they were 12-6 this season and they have the much better coach in my opinion. We have to also remember that Xavier was only 3-8 on the road this year and was very shaky down the stretch. The books are giving Georgia the advantage and so am I in this game. Xavier will be a big public dawg today and I can guarantee you this line won't move. It might actually move in favor of Georgia to be honest, so grab this line now just in case! I love Georgia to move on in the NIT and possibly make a run this year!
