We have seen the ups and the downs from this Bruins team in the postseason so far and they are becoming a very difficult team to really understand, but we know that this is a huge game and we also know this is a great team!
So we have to give the Bruins credit for keeping their season alive with a win in the last game against the Panthers. The Bruins scored one goal each in the first two periods, and the defense really stepped up giving up only one goal.
Charlie McVoy scored a goal and added an assist. Jeremy Swayman started in goal and he saved 28 of the 29 shots that he saved. At times this season, the defense has been bad and in two of the three games they have lost they gave up six goals. In this game the Bruins are going to need the defense to be better.
The Bruins offense was ranked 12th in the league while the defense was ranked 6th in the league. Jake DeBrusk has scored five goals and added five assists so far this season. Brad Marchand has also scored three goals and added seven assists!

This panthers team has been dangerous. They have a put off fence and they know how to play defense when they need to. They have an incredible power play kill and their first line is nasty.
I know that the Panthers had a chance to advance already with a win in their last game but the offense really struggled in that game. The offense only managed one goal, and that led to the defeat.
Sam Reinhart scored a goal and finished with eight shots on goal. Sergei Bobrovsky started in a goal and saved 26 of the 28 shots that he faced. Two games against the Bruins, the Panthers were able to secure the 3-2 victory. Anton Lundell scored a goal and added an assist. In that game Bobrovsky saved 16 of the 18 shots that he faced.
The Panthers offense was ranked 11th in the league while the defense was ranked 2nd. Aleksander Barkov has scored five goals and added eight assists so far this season. Matthew Tkachuk has scored four goals and added nine assists.Â

I have a strong feeling that this game is going to be a defensive gritty battle between these two teams tonight, I'm also confident that this game is going to be lower scoring. The Bruins defense was really impressive in their last game giving up only one goal and I'm sure they are going to step up again here. The Panthers especially are going to really struggle here in my opinion. The Bruins have looked like the better team in my eyes and they have more guys that can make plays happen. Don't be shocked when The Bruins score at least 2 goals here and win this game. Panthers offense not showing up tonight is going to be the difference here to make this game stay under the total.
