Florida Panthers vs. Edmonton Oilers Game 6 PREDICTION:

Edmonton Oilers force game 6 against the Florida Panthers!

The Edmonton Oilers force a Game 6 after going down 3-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals! The Florida Panthers will now be dragged back to Alberta: Will the Panthers hold off the Oilers from forcing a Game 7?

Betting Odds Friday, June 21st 8:00pm Puck Drop: FLA ML (+105), EDM ML (-125), O/U 5.5

Man oh man, I can almost smell the 3-0 comeback... I wished on it in my game five article and now it seems more and more likely to be done. If there is a team to get it done it is the way this Edmonton Oilers is built. So many of these analysts who get paid the big bucks say that there is no game-to-game momentum - each game is its own. That is bogus! It is so evident that all the momentum is on the Edmonton Oilers' side of the ice. The last 7 periods of hockey have been great for the Oilers and I am impressed with the development from the bottom 6 forwards for the Oil. They have had great development from guys such as Mattias Janmark, Connor Brown, and a pretty big goal from Corey Perry in game 5. Not to the discredit of a Florida Panther who has been extremely motivating to this Panthers team in Evan Rodrigues who has six points in this Stanley Cup Finals and has been a point magnet all playoffs long. The Boston University alumni is the leading point scorer for the Florida Panthers in the Cup Finals.

Special Teams Woes

This has been quite an incredible Stanley Cup Finals, to say the least! Game four and game five have been the two most crucial games for the special teams. This playoffs, the Florida Panthers are 1-16 on the Powerplay... If you want to put it this way, the Edmonton Oilers are 2-16 shorthanded... That's right, the Oilers have more shorthanded goals this series than the Panthers do powerplay goals! The Edmonton Oilers' powerplay started 0-12 this Cup Final but started to turn it around after a PP goal in game 4 that awoke the PP in game 5 as well. If the Panthers want to end this series in Alberta on Friday these special teams adjustments have to be made. The Oilers have been able to swing momentum to start the game in back-to-back games by scoring on the PK.

Connor Brown of the Edmonton Oilers has stepped up big time.

Edmonton Oilers/Florida Panthers Game 6 Betting Prediction

ChaseTheLock Prediction: Over 5.5 (-110) 1.10u

ChaseTheLock Record: 5-5-1 (-0.6u)

Heading right back to my bread and butter here... Do not see an option NOT to take this bet if I have to be honest! After going under in the first two games of the series, the Oilers and Panthers have fired off for 7 goals, 9 goals, and 8 goals. Three straight games this game has gone over and do not see this changing on Friday. Adjustments can be made do not get me wrong, but Edmonton is red hot and Bobrovsky seems to be cooling off after a very hot first 3 rounds of the playoffs. Stuart Skinner has his moments where he shines, but can easily collapse for 3-4 goals on any given night. I love the Edmonton Oilers here no doubt about it, they have all the momentum in the world. The only reason I am not picking the Edmonton Oilers ML for my play? In the odd chance that Florida does win and bounce back after dropping the last two games... The way the Edmonton PP has been the last couple of games, and the continued struggles of the Florida PP, I think we have a good chance this one goes over. Edmonton does not need to change anything - 13 goals in the L2 games alone... Let's get after it fellas, give me a 5-3 Final. If you like these articles, let me know!
