Halloween Slate Preview - 10/31/23 Hardee Picks 8 Games

The SV Game Slate Outlook

  • Happy Halloween to all of the Outlet members and followers out there! I figured a spooky read for you might be a small break down of what you can watch tonight while waiting for the kids to ring your door bell and ask to give out candy you had to waste a unit on to buy. In all seriousness, the day after the sports equinox is due for a small slate and less to cover. This read should be short and simple, just to help you with where to start your research for your bets. I advise you to read every section, but it will be broken down by sport! As Brackett stated in the original Halloween, "Everyone is entitled to one good scare!" and tonight our team is here to help you scare the books!

- NY Knicks @ CLE Cavaliers

  • Plug dropped an article on this game so I don't want to steal his spotlight. I will only talk about 1 person and let you read his article for the rest. Julius Randle has struggled to start the year and struggled last year versus Cleveland. He is averaging 13.67 points/game this year and was 2-6 going over the 20 point mark last year versus Cleveland. I will be on his Under 19.5.

- SA Spurs @ PHX Suns

  • The Suns are favored -6.5 and it is at an O/U of 225.5. Both Devin Booker and Bradley Beal are out for the game. The Spurs are young and still trying to grow chemistry wise. They just got blown out by the Clippers, and did not cover versus the Mavericks. When you see this team go against playoff caliber teams so far, they have not been able to compete as well. They beat the Rockets in OT, but they have yet to look extremely sound.

- ORL Magic @ LA Clippers

  • The Clippers are favored by 6 with an O/U at 220. Clippers just make a huge move getting Harden but dealt 4 key depth pieces in the move. In addition, Terrance Mann is out and Norman Powell is a Game-Time Decision. The Magic have been red hot to start this year covering this line in all 3 games, and battling the Lakers tough last time out. This young team has grown well and now with all players healthy, they look strong. I expect a close game in this one.

- LA Kings @ TOR Maple Leafs

  • This game is favored to the Maple Leafs and has an O/U set at 7 with it favored to the Under. The Kings and Leafs are both coming off of extra time losses on 10/28. Our goalie matchup for tonight is Jack Woll versus Cam Talbot. Both teams have above a 3.50 GF/G and limiting SA/G to under 30. The Leafs Woll had a scary start number 1 but has recorded 3 straight wins allowing 2 goals total combined. Talbot has been decent this season, going 3-2 and averaging 2.72 GA/G. Talbot is undefeated on the road this season and has given up 5 goals in the 3 road games.

- NSH Predators @ VAN Canucks

  • This game is favored to the Canucks, and an O/U set at 6.5 favored to the Under. The goalie matchup will be Kevin Lankinen versus Thatcher Demko. This game has happened on 10/24 that was a Predators 3-2 win in extra time. Saros was in the net for Nashville on that game. Lankinen has 1 game played all year and he did not start. Demko is averaging less than 2 GA/G and only has 1 game over 2 GA in a start versus the TB Lightning. I really like Vancouver tonight.

- Northern Illinois @ Central Michigan

  • Now I won't dive deep into this game because Plug did his own write up on this game. Both teams enter 4-4 and this MAC game is one that means a lot for standings in the conference. Overall, I lean a certain way in this one but Plug has all the details you need in this game in his write up!

- Buffalo @ Toledo

  • 3-5 Buffalo goes to Toledo to take on the 7-1 Rockets. Toledo has won 7 straight, losing their first game versus Illinois. Buffalo has been picking up their game, going 3-1 in their last 4 games. We have this game with Toledo -15 and the O/U at 50 points. I really like the Buffalo spread tonight. They are 4-0 ATS on the road this year, while Toledo is 1-3 ATS at home. Buffalo has covered this line against all teams this season except Wisconsin and Liberty. I think the hot streak continues and this is a 2 touchdown or less difference.

- TX Rangers @ ARI Diamondbacks

  • Game 4 of the World Series is here! The Rangers lead 2-1 in the series and are undefeated on the road this playoffs. They bring out Andrew Heaney tonight. At the point this article was written, we do not have a confirmed Rangers lineup, but keep an eye on Adolis Garcia who was injured in Game 3. An offensive player to highlight in this game is Corey Seager. He is 2-4 versus Mantiply, and he has 2 HRs and 4 RBIs this World Series. Although he has been their main producer, he has only had those 2 HRs as the only base hits in the series. The D-Backs are going with a bullpen game with Joe Mantiply on the hill. The offensive player to highlight for Arizona is Ketel Marte. Marte has had 1+ hit in every playoff game this season, and is batting .333 with 9 XBHs. He is 2-6 vs Heaney, with 2 HRs in his career. He is back in the leadoff spot and will need to be a big for Arizona to tie up this series.

Hardee Picks Plays I Lean for the Night

💎 Buffalo +15 (-112)

💎 LA Kings/TOR Leafs Under 7 (-135)

💎 Ketel Marte Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110)

💎 Julius Randle Under 19.5 points (-105)
