2024 NFL Season Odds & Futures
NFL NFC North 2024 Season Preview
The clock continues to count down as we start to close in on the 2024 NFL season and its predicted to be a great year through out the league. There is one division I'm more interested in then others and that is the NFC North! The NFC North is shaping up to be a competitive division for the 2024 NFL season. With the first few days of free agency done, now its time for us to start to take a look at where the best place to put our money is with this NFC North division. All odds are from Draftkings and are current from March 29th, 2024. So with that being said are ready to cash in on some NFL futures? Lets get started!
Detroit Lions Win NFC North +160
Over 10.5 (-115) / Under 10.5 (-105)Â
These odds truly tell a story for the Lions up coming season, if your reading these odds it should tell you that the Detroit Lions have never been in a better position to be a good football team for the up coming season, at least not in my lifetime! We do have to give The Lions their flowers, The Lions were able to win the NFC North in 2023 with a 12-5 record, and they were just a couple of quarters away from a Super Bowl berth. The Lions haven’t been super busy in free agency so far, but they have had a couple of key pickups. Marcus Davenport missed a lot of games in 2023 for the Minnesota Vikings, but when he’s healthy, he’s a force. Defensive tackle DJ Reader has also been brought in. Jared Goff is still under center, and he found a ton of success in 2023. If the Lions defense can step up in 2024, this could be a year that the Lions repeat as NFC North champs. I would take the over here, but I would rather bet the Lions +150 to win the division if I was putting down money in May, mainly because the number is so high.
Green Bay Packers Win NFC North +185
Over 9.5 (-135) / Under 9.5 (+115)
We Sure do have some questions that need answering about the up coming season with this Packers team. I know we all heard GM Brian Gutekunst admit he wasn't sure if Love was the quarterback of the future for Green Bay. So with that being said, lets just fast forward a few months, and people are putting Love in their top-10 QB list without even thinking or blinking. What I do know is what we seen last season where the Green Bay Packers got out to a slow start in 2023 and a big reason was because of the struggles of Jordan Love! As the season went on, Love gained confidence, and now he is going to be trying to prove that he is the best quarterback in the NFC North. The Packers lost one running back in Aaron Jones, but the team feels they got a big upgrade, bringing in Josh Jacobs from the Las Vegas Raiders. On defense, the Packers also brought in safety Xavier McKinney who is one of the best at his position in the NFL. If Love can even improve more this offseason, the Packers can win the NFC North and I don't have any interest in fading the Packers, but this is a really expensive price on a huge number. If this team starts 3-6 again, it would be tough to pull off a 10-win season.
Chicago Bears to Win NFC North +320Â
Over 8.5 (-165) / Under 8.5 (+140)Â
We are not going to act like we all are not expecting the Bears fans to have their expectations through the roof like they do every year or that the main media wont hype this team to the heavens! You can argue it makes more sense this year than in the past three, five or whatever years it's been. Caleb Williams is the No. 1 overall pick and arguably going to the best landing spot a top pick's ever had. So we can let it ride slightly this year because the potential is there this year. This Chicago team is loaded in the upcoming 2024 season with a ton of weapons. During last season the team traded for DJ Moore, and now they just made a trade star receiver Keenan Allen. The Bears also signed D’Andre Swift to help improve the running game. On defense, the Bears brought in cornerback Jaylon Johnson and Kevin Byard. There could be some growing pains under center, but this is a team that is setting up to be very good for a long time if they struck gold with finding their quarterback of the future. There's just a lot of new parts here that are going to try and click quickly in a short offseason with a rookie quarterback. And that gives me major concerns at the idea of laying massive juice on Chicago winning nine-plus games in a really difficult division. If I were betting the under, I'd wait for it to move up some more or simply stay away from Bear futures all together.
Minnesota Vikings +750
Over 6.5 (-145) / Under 6.5 (+120)
This team is a very tricky team to figure out from year to year and i think its so funny that everyone is so concerned about the Vikings losing Kirk Cousins, but i think its even bigger of a issue that Sam Darnold being a huge favorite to start Week 1 for this team. Kirk Cousins is gone to the Atlanta Falcons, and the Vikings brought in Sam Darnold to replace him, very scary in my eyes. The Vikings have done something i like and that's they made it a point to build up the defense, and they have spent a lot of money trying to get Brian Flores's squad better. Jonathan Greenard comes over from the Houston Texans. On the offensive side of the ball, they also brought in Aaron Jones who should be a big upgrade in the backfield. It’s just hard at this point to place a bet on the Vikings with so much uncertainty at the quarterback position. I'd probably be on the under if I seen this number start going up but if not another team we should leave alone for futures this year.
