Serghei "The Polar Bear" Spivac, Lock Of The Week.

After an absolute BANGER last week featuring a captivating main event where Cory "sandman" Sandhagen and Umar "Young Eagle" Nurmagomedov had a 5 round war at UFC Abu Dhabi we are back with a great card for UFC 95. In todays article we will discuss the main event of Serghei " The Polar Bear" Spivac Vs Marcin "Tybur" Tybura. We will take a look at stylistic matchups, recent notable performances and some key factors that will help Serghei be victorious.

The Polar Bear has "Plunged" into the depth of the heavyweight division.

One of the first pieces on information we must look at is the fact that this is a rematch, And Spivac lost the first fight. Given this information here are some factors as to why we are picking the Polar Bear to win the rematch.

  • Spivac was a spry 25 at at the beginning of his UFC Career, Tybura was in his prime and giving us the best performances of his career. (He is now 38 and nearing the end of his career while Spivac is a ripe 29)

  • The polar bear has improved his conditioning and physique tremendously which has enabled him to score submissions on some absolutely monstrously large men like Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis, Greg Hardy, and Tai "Bam Bam" Tuivasa

  • Spivac has shown us he has top level grappling with 7 career submissions as well as several of his wins coming via ground and pound. He has 14 out of his 16 wins by finish and majority happened on the ground.

  • Spivac has the height and reach advantage, He has also displayed his much improved boxing over his last few fights. Tybura tends to default to the wrestling when he has trouble on the feet but this wont be an option against Spivac.

Serghei is sitting at a -170 ML on Draft kings right now. Hammer that line with confidence!
