These Utah Utes boys opened up the season on a three-game win streak over Eastern Washington, UC Riverside and Wake Forest, they looked really good and their offense has been rolling, but after back-to-back losses to Houston and St. John’s, they have to take advantage of this game here. Utah took out Saint Marys and looked good doing it, winning that game 78-71, Utah shot 41.2% from the field and went (7-of-17) from 3-point range.

The Thunderbirds have just two wins so far this year over Life Pacific and Texas State. Not very impressive at all and a very tough team to trust. We seen Southern Utah lose to CSU Bakersfield, Utah State, Louisiana Tech and Cal Baptist in their first six games. The Thunderbirds had 17 turnovers in the loss to Cal Baptist, shooting just 22.2% from 3-point range.

This looks like a no brainer, we will run with the Utes here. These boys are coming off a solid game against a pretty good Hawaii team, shooting 52.6% from the field. If they can shoot anywhere close to that here then they will easily win this game. Utah has dropped 77 or more points in all their games but one this year (66 versus Houston) and they should put up a big number against this Soutjern Utah defense. This Southern Utah team has put up 66 points or less in three of their last four games, all losses might I add. Seriously, Utah shouldn’t have any issues scoring here and get us to this team total easily, and if the Utes play well how I think they will then they should bang out the cover without too much difficulty either!
