The Dukes finished their season with an 11-1 record, earning their ranking of the 24th best team in the country. James Madison suffered their first loss in week 12 against Appalachian State, the following week they would bounce back with a huge 56-14 win over Costal Carolina. Dukes’ quarterback Jordan McCould was brilliant in this game, he finished with 324 yards and 5 touchdowns. James Madison was excellent on offense this season, they put up 35.2 points per game (17th in NCAA). The Dukes had the number one rushing defense in all of college football this year, however their defense as a whole wasn’t great.
The Air Force Falcons started their season off undefeated through their first 8 games, however they would end their season with four consecutive loses. The Air Force faced Boise State on the road in their final regular season game, when they would suffer a 27-19 loss. Falcons’ quarterback John Busha was very shaky against Boise State, throwing for an inefficient 131 yards and 1 interception. The Falcons rushing offense was elite this season, racking up 275.8 rushing yards per
game (4th in NCAA). The Air Force limited teams to just 96.3 rushing yards per game (17th in NCAA), however they still allowed 17.9 points per game (141st in NCAA).

This game is featuring two very good offenses and both teams match up well against one another. The Dukes have embarrassed their opponents rushing offenses this season, so expect Busha to be busy. McCloud is the much better quarterback in this game, as he’s showed time and time again that you can trust him down the stretch. This game will be an absolute battle, however McCloud takes James Madison over the top.
