MLB Season win totals banner

The Outlet Sports Ventures is super pumped to kick off our first full season of MLB content! Our team is gearing up to bring you solid and steady info all season long. We're starting with our Futures on our favorite 2025 MLB team win totals! The lines are finally out, and now's the perfect time to jump on those shaky OVER/UNDER totals. Big free agents are still out there, and things are bound to change before Spring Training starts on Feb. 20, so this odds board could get a shake-up anytime. MLB win totals are one of the coolest futures bets to dive into in 2025. Let's check out the board.

PICK #1 : KC Royals OVER 82.5 Wins (-110)

KC Royals MLB

The math in the AL Central is a bit off. Someone's gotta win this division, and I'm leaning towards the Royals hitting over 82.5 wins instead of the Tigers or Guardians, who are both at 83.5.

KC had another smart offseason move by trading pitcher Brady Singer to the Reds for infielder Jonathan India. The Royals took advantage of their strong starting pitcher lineup and boosted their offense to back up Bobby Witt Jr., Sal Perez, and Vinne Pasquantino. Their starting pitchers are now better than the Guardians', and Cleveland's offense took a hit this offseason after trading Josh Naylor. The Tigers are still struggling with their hitting, even after adding Gleyber Torres. Plus, KC gets the chance to play the ChiSox about 16 times next season, which is another advantage for them.

PICK #2 : Oakland Athletics OVER 70.5 Wins (-110)

Oakland A's MLB

I know many of you wont like this future for Oakland and i can understand why, but Oakland is slowly turning into a real contender if you want to see it or not. Last year, the A's snagged 69 wins, thanks to a strong batting lineup featuring Brent Rooker and Lawrence Butler. The pitching wasn't great, but the team still managed to pull off some crucial wins just with their offense. This approach should work well in the Athletics' minor-league spot in Sacramento come 2025. Balls really fly in minor-league parks without those tall seats to block the wind. Remember how the Jays hit loads of homers in 2021 when they played in Dunedin, Fla.?

Next up, the A's made some big moves this winter. They splurged on pitcher Luis Severino and then grabbed Gio Urshela and Jeffrey Springs in a trade. With these changes, their pitching is looking great for 2025, and their young, powerful offense is only going to get better.

PICK #3 : Chicago Cubs UNDER 86.5 Wins (-110)

Cubs MLB Wrigley Field

I'm not convinced that adding Kyle Tucker to a team that won 83 games last year really explains the big jump in the 2025 win predictions. Even with Tucker leading off, Chicago's offense still has its issues. Michael Busch has power, but he strikes out a lot. Dansby Swanson and Nico Hoerner both hover around a low-.700 OPS. Seiya Suzuki can hit, but he’s frequently injured. And honestly, who knows how healthy Tucker will stay?

Even though the club's got a decent pitching lineup, they just don't seem solid enough to hit 87 wins. Right now, I'm betting on the UNDER.

The Top 3 Team Win Totals for 2025 MLB Season!

  • KC Royals OVER 82.5 Wins (-110)

  • Oakland Athletics OVER 70.5 Wins (-110)

  • Chicago Cubs UNDER 86.5 Wins (-110)
