Let's dive into our thoughts on this Week 11 matchup.

The Ohio Bobcats Team Preview!

Ohio Bobcats Betting Preview

The Ohio Bobcats are 5-3 (3-1) this season after they defeated Buffalo by a score of 47-16 in their last game. Ohio led 24-10 at halftime and they scored 23 of the 29 points in the second half for the blowout win. The Bobcats outgained Buffalo by a total of 489-383, won the turnover battle 2-1, and went 7-12 on third down in the game. Parker Navarro threw for 231 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while Rickey Hunt Jr. rushed for 89 yards and one score.

Before that big win, the Bobcats took an L against Miami (OH) with a score of 30-20, but they did manage to beat CMU and Akron earlier on. The Ohio offense has been putting up an average of 25 points per game, with 180.6 passing yards and 200.5 rushing yards per game. On the flip side, the defense has been giving up about 23.3 points per game this season. Parker Navarro has been pretty accurate, completing 66.2% of his passes for 1,217 yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions. And let's not forget about Coleman Owen, who's been killing it with 44 catches for 682 yards and five touchdowns.

The Kent State Golden Flashes Team Preview!

Kent State Golden Flashes Betting Preview

The Kent State Golden Flashes are 0-8 (0-4) this year after they lost to Western Michigan by a score of 52-21 in their last game. Kent State allowed the first 38 points in the game and never had a chance to get back into it. The Golden Flashes were outgained by a total of 579-250, lost the turnover battle 4-1, and went 1-13 on third down in the game. Tommy Ulatowski threw for 114 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions, while Luke Floriea caught three passes for 43 yards and one score.

Before that game, the Golden Flashes had a rough time against Bowling Green, Ball State, and Eastern Michigan. They put up a good fight against Ball State though, only losing by two points. The Kent State offense has been averaging 19.3 points per game, with 173.8 passing yards and 77.1 rushing yards per game. On the flip side, the defense has been struggling, allowing an average of 46.6 points per game this season. Tommy Ulatowski has completed 42.6% of his passes for 940 yards, with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions. Ky Thomas has been doing his part too, rushing for 389 yards and scoring once.

The Ohio vs Kent State Game Prediction!

Ohio vs Kent State Prediction

The Pick: Ohio / Kent St Over 52.5 -110

So, Kent State is still hunting for that elusive first win of the season, but man, their defense has been pretty terrible in the first eight games. The Golden Flashes are giving up more than 45 points per game, which basically means they're having a tough time keeping up in most matchups. On the flip side, Ohio has snagged three wins in their last four games, but they've had a bit of trouble when playing away from home this season. I'm not really feeling confident about betting on Kent State with their defense playing like that, but then again, I'm not too keen on betting big on a team struggling on the road either. So, let's go with the over on this one!
