FRIDAY NIGHT RECAP
The Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles fought an absolute bloodbath offensively on Friday with a final score of 12-10 in favor of the Boston Red Sox. A few key takeaway's here on both sides of the ball... Corbin Burnes got EXPOSED by these Boston Bats for 10H/8ER/3BB/7K. This is a season worst for Burnes who is a potential AL Cy Young candidate. The Orioles used 4 relievers behind Burnes and the worst by far was Craig "Claw" Kimbrel who gave up two HRs in one inning of work and ultimately gave the Red Sox the push they needed to come out victorious. The Boston Red Sox bullpen is my next line of emphasis for this "Friday Night Recap". The Red Sox used just about every reliever in that bullpen tonight with Bernardino coming out before Cooper Criswell pitched a majority of innings but only managed to go 3.1IP. This led to a domino effect of relievers coming out of the pen pitching 7 different relievers + Cooper Criswell. The only reliever that will be fully rested for Saturday if I am not mistaken is going to be Josh Winckowski which is NOT a good option. The two teams combined for 31 hits on Friday Night, take that with a grain of salt.
SATURDAY NIGHT PREVIEW
Brayan Bello will take the bump for the Boston Red Sox Saturday Night in Baltimore. The Baltimore Orioles will start Southpaw Cade Povich after recalling him from Triple-A on Friday. Advantage Red Sox when it comes to the starting pitcher matchup in my opinion as Povich has a 1-5 record in games that he has started and Brayan Bello is supporting a 10-5 record which is tied as the 18th best in the entire MLB. Brayan Bello was struggling before the All-Star Break no doubt about it. Since then, he has improved greatly on the mound and is now supporting a 3.86 ERA post break (4.97 ERA overall). Cade Povich on the other end has a 6.27 ERA in his rookie campaign. The Boston Red Sox bats have been very impressive recently and I do not think that this will change with Povich on the bump despite being a lefty. The Red Sox have the 9th best batting average against LHP in the L30 days with an average of .262! The Baltimore Orioles will also have a favorable matchup however as in the L30 days they have the 6th best batting average against RHP with an average of .276. Both teams offensive numbers have been very impressive so definitely something to note. Brayan Bello does have a large sample size of PA against this Baltimore squad with 70 PA, .238xBA/.322xwOBA.

My Prediction: BOSTON RED SOX F5 ML (-115) 1.15u **PLAY TO -130**
This is a tough game for me to not have fan bias as I am a fan of the Boston Red Sox and currently have futures open on them to make the playoffs this season. BUT, I will say that I do not bet on them if I am not confident and in this spot here tonight, I feel good. However, I feel good for them here in the F5 as the Red Sox bullpen is smoked. Bello has been improving and needs a big outing for this squad (he knows it) and Cade Povich making his first start back from AAA could see some tough regression I am afraid. This was not a skill based call up but rather an IL call up since Grayson Rodriguez took a stint to the IL. The Red Sox in the F5 have been incredible all year and just look what happened yesterday in an impressive SP in Corbin Burnes? I'm backing the Red Sox in the F5 ALL DAY LONG!
