Philadelphia Eagles Recap:

Jalen Hurts NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles are in a classic "bounce-back" spot after suffering their first loss of the year, a 21-17 defeat to Denver, moving them to 4-1 straight up. Bettors should note the short week before they hit the road again for a game against the Minnesota Vikings—a heavy travel spot that could influence their focus here.

Eagles Have Four-Game Win Streak Snapped:

Jalen Hurts remains the ultimate dual-threat asset, posting 889 passing yards (66.9% completion) with 7 passing TDs and contributing 4 rushing TDs on 182 yards. On the ground, Saquon Barkley leads the backfield with 267 yards and 3 scores. In the red zone, Dallas Goedert has been exceptionally efficient, hauling in 4 touchdowns on just 15 receptions, while DeVonta Smith is the primary yardage target with 272 yards on 25 catches, closely followed by A.J. Brown (19 rec, 194 yds, 1 TD). Defensively, the Eagles have generated limited pressure and turnovers, with only 7 sacks and 3 interceptions total, despite linebacker Zack Baun racking up a team-high 42 tackles and 2 sacks.

New York Giants Recap:

New York Giants NFL

The New York Giants are currently \bm{1-4} after a \bm{26-14} defeat against the New Orleans Saints. Following this matchup, the Giants will travel to face the Denver Broncos.

Giants Looking To Rebound In Tough Matchup:

Man, the Giants are keeping it super ground-level right now. Rookie QB Jaxson Dart is playing it safe with a 65% completion rate, but he's not exactly airing it out much yet, only putting up 313 yards with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. They're all about the run game, with Cam Skattebo racking up 240 yards and 2 scores. The real bummer is losing their top receiver, Malik Nabers, for the season, so you know Wan’Dale Robinson (267 yards) and Darius Slayton (166 yards) are about to get absolutely peppered with targets. On the defensive side, Brian Burns is a beast, grabbing 5 of the team's 10 sacks, and linebackers Bobby Okereke (48 tackles) and Paulson Adebo (37 tackles) are tackling everything that moves, even if the secondary has only snagged 3 interceptions so far.

New York Giants Player Prop Facts:

  • Theo Johnson has scored at least one touchdown in each of the Giants’ last two games.

  • Theo Johnson has recorded 33+ receiving yards in six of his last seven appearances against NFC opponents.

  • Devin Singletary has recorded 43+ rushing and receiving yards in each of his four previous Week 6 appearances.

  • Devin Singletary has recorded 18+ rushing yards in each of his 10 previous October home appearances.

  • Heading into Week 6, Russell Wilson has recorded the most passing yards in a single game this season (450 vs Cowboys, Week 2).

The Pick: Under 41.5 -115

My gut says to take the under in this one. I'm curious to see how Jaxson Dart handles a tough, short week going up against Philly's defense, which is even better than the one he just faced in New Orleans. But honestly, I'm not totally sold on the Eagles' offense either—they've actually been outgained in every single game so far this year. This just smells like a grimy, low-scoring divisional slugfest. I'm taking the under.
