Seriously, no one can seem to stop quarterback Josh Hoover. Last game, he was throwing darts, going 22-for-40 for a massive 379 yards, five touchdowns, and just one pick. And let's not forget receiver Eric McAlister, who had an all-time great performance with eight catches for 254 yards and three touchdowns! It's pretty obvious the passing game is the major strength here. They're averaging a solid 41.67 points per game (which ranks 23rd in college football), though their defense is giving up about 19.67 points. While the offense gets all the headlines, the defense (50th in the nation) actually looks like it might be an improvement over the last couple of years, too.

Let’s be real, Arizona State’s defense is simply not built to handle what Josh Hoover is bringing to the desert. They can't stop the air raid, and we just saw him torch a team for 379 yards and five touchdowns! Sure, asking for that exact stat line again is greedy, but trust me, he's going to be in the ballpark. He's got that dog in him.
And while our TCU D is better than the national narrative suggests, they're not some elite brick wall that's going to shut down the Sun Devils, either. Arizona State will be moving the ball just fine. This game has all the makings of a classic Big 12-style track meet—two talented quarterbacks trading blows until the clock hits zero, with absolutely zero defense to be found.
