  • We look at The Northern Illinois Huskies sitting at 4-6 (3-3) this year after they just lost to Ball State by a score of 20-17 in their last game. Northern Illinois led 17-10 in the fourth quarter, but they allowed 10 points in the final 3:44 for the loss. The Huskies out gained Ball State by a total of 315-301 and they turned the ball over three times in the game. NIU also lost to Central Michigan by a score of 37-31 in the week prior. The Northern Illinois offense is averaging 24.2 points per game with 195.3 passing yards per game and 161.6 rushing yards per game, while going 38% on third downs. Rocky Lombardi has thrown for 1,799 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions for the Huskies this season. Antario Brown has rushed for 916 yards and seven touchdowns. This NIU defense is allowing 22.7 points per game this season. Can we see this team continue to lose or will they actually get back to winning here!?

  • The Western Michigan Broncos are 4-6 (3-3) so far this season after they beat up on Central Michigan by a score of 38-28 in their last game. Western Michigan led 21-7 at halftime, but they trailed 28-21 in the third quarter, before they pulled away in the fourth quarter for the win. The Broncos out gained CMU by a total of 484-418 and forced two turnovers in the game. Western Michigan also defeated Eastern Michigan by a score of 45-21 in the game before Central. The WMU offense is scoring 27.4 points per game with 222.9 passing yards per game and 168.7 rushing yards per game, while going 36% on third downs. Hayden Wolff has thrown for 1,200 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions for the Broncos this season. Jalen Buckley has rushed for 892 yards and nine touchdowns. The Western Michigan defense is giving up 32.3 points per game this year. Can they keep things rolling here or head back into a downward spiral!?

  • This is not a bad game in my eyes, we have a bit of a tricky matchup here to be honest. We have seen the bad & good from both teams but right now these two teams are just heading in the opposite directions. Western Michigan has won two games in a row and NIU has lost two in a row. NIU will have the advantage of playing at home and that is normally a big benifit in College sports, but they will be playing a very desperate Western Michigan team that needs to win their last two games in order to get to a bowl game. We have seen that Western Michigan can move the ball , they have done it very well in their last two games and I think they are going to keep that momentum going here. NIU just gave up 37 points to Central Michigan two games ago and I think we could see a similar game here. If NIU gives up more then 23 points here then Western Michigan will cover this spread! I think they put up close to 35 points here and could possibly win this game outright! We will take the points and sprinkle the ML for the upset here!
